Neezam means discipline.

At Neezam Jiu Jitsu school, we strive to help you master discipline and push you to challenge yourself. We teach kids and adults Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and empower them in various aspects of their life.

We're also known as Checkmat Anaheim. What is Checkmat? Checkmat is an international competition team founded in 2008 by master Leo Vieira, Saeed Dunkaev's coach. Checkmat has affiliate academies in 34 American cities and 16 countries worldwide. We are the Anaheim affiliate.

The story behind our coach

Saeed Dunkaev is a Jiu Jitsu black belt from Leo Vieira, founder of Checkmat team. He's one of the main athletes of his generation on the Masters’ division while representing the Checkmat team. Saeed Dunkaev was ranked #1 brown belt GI/NOGI in all divisions at IBJJF ranking. He won GI & NOGI Worlds multiple times and also Pan American Championship.
